Childhood Vaccination Tracking for Clinics
Internal operations tool
The Challenge
Clinics tracked childhood vaccinations on paper cards and paper registers, and parents were left to remember due dates themselves. Doses got delayed, records were incomplete, and there was no easy way for a doctor to see which children in their care were falling behind schedule.
What We Built
We built an app that automatically generates each child’s full vaccination schedule from their date of birth, following the national pediatric immunization schedule.
- Doctors see their patient list with overdue and upcoming doses flagged clearly
- Each dose is recorded with a photo of the vaccine vial sticker and batch number
- Combination vaccines can be recorded in a single step
- A dose can only be skipped with a recorded reason, so nothing is silently dropped
- Parents get a read-only timeline of their child’s vaccination history
- The next 30 days are highlighted for parents so upcoming doses aren’t missed
- Parents can view the vial-sticker photo for every dose their child has received
- Administrators register children, assign doctors, and see clinic-wide completed/pending/overdue statistics
- Photos are compressed automatically so uploads work even on slow mobile connections
The Result
Doctors now see, at a glance, exactly which children are overdue instead of relying on memory or a card the family may have forgotten to bring. Parents get a full, photo-backed history of every dose their child has received, and clinics have clinic-wide visibility into completed, pending and overdue vaccinations for the first time.
